'CHILD'S PLAY RE-ENACTMENT,
SHOOTING FROM THE HIP'

KADEEM'S images comprise visual arrangements derived from the act of child’s play and its revisit to such patterns of interaction as we grow older. Set against the rigidity and autonomous adult nature of the corporate architectural environment these staged works exercise notions of scale, surface and colour (or the lack of) to engage the viewer. KADEEM'S research is centered around the visual techniques used in 1950’s American film noir and the different tensions these effects can portray when appropriated or juxtaposed.

KAD'S Current artist of interest

JOHN BALLDERSSERI

A pioneer of the conceptual art movement who’s retrospective is currently showing at Tate Modern until 10th January 2010.

Various screen cap's of the original film noir films that have inspired these stunning shots, that carry a hefty weight of
EMOTIVE REMINISCENCE.
