Some art is meant to be transitory as is life. How then do these people wish to leave traces? Shouldn't art delight in the ephemeral as well speak to posterity?

The question is what classifies as 'transitory art. Idiosyncratically speaking ( as with all art) a person who creates so called 'art' has indeed left their trace on society. A trace being something which provides evidence of a former existence. Does anything strictly speaking ephemeral even exist? Even if it did/does how do you even know this.
