Effortlessly acquired a piece of 'art'.
To Quote 'Am I missing something?'
Do we actually own this piece of art, how can we ever truly own a piece of art if we are not the creators of it.An in depth discussion which is not entirely relevant now.
All I am going to say is I don't feel like I own this piece, as the scrap of paper reads ( is this piece of the piece itself ? ) Moreover, I / we are the keepers of it, maybe even we are a part of it, but mainly we are looking after it for the Artist; we could never truly own it as we are not the creators.
Maybe we are part of it however, are we not in some sense part creators of the piece if we have adopted it as our own; thus owning it by definition.
